Bridemaids' Dresses

The past has seen some really dreadful bridemaids’ dresses. Just watch “27 Dresses” starring Katherine Heigl. Of course the dresses were a bit exaggerated, but some were really not that far from reality. Check out some of the dresses she wore, in case you forgot or never saw the movie:

I believe we are far past the era of uniformed, less-flattering bridesmaids’ dresses. Why not changes things up?

Reason #1: Chances are, your bridesmaids’ will not have the same body type, so why try and fit them all into the same dress. Even if you all were sisters, your bodies will still be different. Case in point, the Kardashian sisters = different.

Reason #2: It’s a great way to add a pop of color and texture to your bridal portraits.

Reason #3: Pretty compliments beauty. Less-than flattering does not.You want your bridal party to feel comfortable and confident in their dresses. Going back to reason #1; when the dresses fit better, your girls will feel more comfortable, more confident, they’ll have more fun at your wedding!

Reason #4: You want your bridal party to feel comfortable and confident in their dresses. Going back to reason #1; when the dresses fit better, your girls will feel more comfortable, more confident, they’ll have more fun at your wedding! You're happy, they're happy, everyone's happy.

Check out these bridesmaids. Don’t you just love the variety, pop of color and the different textures?! Definite thumbs up!

Even the guys are in the spirit of variety. How adorable are the little boys' socks?

There's a slight variation in the dresses, but what I love about this is that each bridesmaid is wearing a different shoe, different colors.

Patterns, patterns, patterns!

Such a candid shot. The dresses are simple and elegant.
